Not everyone has Copilot Chat today

People without a license who look for Copilot on their own usually land in the free personal version, which lacks the data protection BMY requires. Options: a small license change, or leave those users out of the first wave.

Know the limits

Copilot Chat isn't a full replacement

It covers everyday writing, summarizing, brainstorming and research with your data protected. It does not remember past conversations, offer custom GPTs, produce in-depth research reports, or complete tasks on its own.

Who uses AI, what for, and which tool. Most people will be fine on Copilot Chat; the few who truly need something else can get a business-tier version rather than a free or personal one that may train on your data.
